Gumiho: wicked fox - ★★★★★

❝Night and darkness made a believer of everyone.❞

T H E P L O T Eighteen-year-old Gu Miyoung has a secret: she's a gumiho, a nine-tailed fox who must devour the energy of men in order to survive. After feeding one full moon, Miyoung crosses paths with Jihoon, a human boy, being attacked by a goblin deep in the forest. Against her better judgment, she violates the rules of survival to rescue the boy, losing her fox bead - her gumiho soul - in the process. Jihoon knows Miyoung is more than just a beautiful girl - he saw her nine tails the night she saved his life. He’s drawn to her anyway.

M Y R E V I E W Well, wow. This book swept me off my feet. I was scared I wasn’t going to like it because my expectations were sky high, but I loved it. I loved how we start off thinking we know everything about the two protagonist and the villain but, by the end of the book, everything changes, including how you see them. There were some plot twists I truly did not see coming and, even if there was one little thing that kinda bothered me, I really liked how the relationship between Miyoung and Jihoon was written. If you like urban fantasy and Korean mythology, this book is for you! 🦊
